18 Skills in 18 months

Image
Join me on this self improvement journey to expand my three current brain cells!!!!  I decided I'm going to learn 18 skills in 18 months - 1 for every month until the end of December 2025. Not set in stone, but this is the relative order/ idea of skills I'm planning on focusing on for each month, starting this July(even though it's almost over haha) July: Organizing/planning ahead (I struggle with this because I am usually very aloof and figure it out as I go along- but now that I'm growing up, its time for more structure.) August: Chemistry (wish I could've learned more about this amazing subject as a freshmen) September: Cinematography - produce several shots October: Ju Jitsu November: Cooking December: Piano January: Lightsaber/ sword training February: Hip hop dance March: Learn Bible verses in different languages April: Singing - Write a song May: Animation June:Archery July: Sewing August: Math September: Vehicle Mechanics October: Woodworking November: human

Elaina and I finished Merlin... ouch

the ending of BBC's Merlin is killing me. There was so much Merlin and Arthur never got to talk about. Merlin never got to tell Arthur about his father, Balinor, or how he can speak to dragons, or how Morgana turned evil, or how many times he tried to save someone and failed. They never got the chance to grieve together for the loss of their loved ones or make up for the hurts bestowed or laugh one last time. My one happiness about the ending is that the two best of friends remained to be so. The liar and lied to reconciled and Arthur died in his best friend and servant's arms. Let's be honest, anyone who watched this show cried themselves to sleep after losing Mordred, Gwaine, and Arthur in one episode๐Ÿ˜ญ

Sleepover with Sam!

An eventful 4 day hangout with my best friend Sam! Some highlights: painting, having a picnic under the pier, watching Cinderella, late 3am conversations, going to the mall - buying a DELICIOUS cookie and boba tea, and both refusing to eat the last bite of the cookie, which was soon a very small crumb ๐Ÿคฃ lots of laughs and cuddles and deep conversations were had. Love you Sam ๐Ÿค

Life and Photography Lately

Wow... the spring formal was an eternity ago... sorry. Well, I guess this post will kind of just give you a taste of what I've been doing lately. Mostly photography, hanging out with friends, and don't you know it, driving- I'm almost ready for my license. The photoshoot with Hannah was honestly pretty easy. We have similar taste in aesthetics so she didn't mind my style, and we happened to get a rainy day-- perfect for the photoshoot, less perfect for me and my camera. It was a lot wetter than it looks ๐Ÿ˜… This next one was my attempt at a more trippy, vintage late night city vibes. We had just watched the For King and Country movie which was excellent, 5 stars for sure. This one's probably my most popular photo, taken at a church potluck. Some pictures from the backyard... there were a lot of others, but these are my favorites.

sorry I kind of forgot to post about the dance๐Ÿ˜… It was so fun!! Beforehand, me and my friends Lydia, Katie, and Carly, and my sister Elaina of course, got together for pictures and then went to Macs for dinner. Then at the dance we had lots of fun partying and dancing and goin' crazy! It was sooo fun! I am not a huge fan of homeschool dances but as far as they go this was pretty dope.
