Ephesians 4:17-19

17 So I tell you this, and insist on it in the Lord, that you must no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking. 18 They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts. 19 Having lost all sensitivity, they have given themselves over to sensuality so as to indulge in every kind of impurity, and they are full of greed.

For some reason God put it on my mind and my heart to quote this passage of scripture tonight. I guess I could always use the reminder that I can only serve one master. I can’t be of the world and of God. It’s a choice, and I have already chosen the way of the light, love, laughter, the way of Jesus Christ. My actions and behaviour should therefore represent the path I chose. I certainly don’t want to leave the same impression of the worldly on others. This is a reminder, mostly to myself, that I should be separated from the world by my thoughts, actions, and words.
